Washington Irving wrote this novel while was working for the U. S. Embassy.

In there, Irving related several tales and legends about this monumental, great and wonderful castle – palace of Granada (Spain).

Some of them are:

-          Legend of the Moor’s legacy.

-          Legend of the three beautiful princesses.

-          Legend of the Rose of the Alhambra.

As well, he talked about the history of the city and monument.
